Mr. Daniel Raymond Westrick's Obituary
Daniel Raymond Westrick, age 72, of St. Clair, died February 1, 2015. He was born August 27, 1942 in St. Clair to the late Norman and Clara Westrick. On June 24, 1966 Dan married Teri Hallier in St. Clair. Dan worked for Kammer Ashphalt and Pontiac Motors prior to working over 35 years for Consumer’s Power in Marysville, retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor. Following retirement Dan enjoyed working maintenance at Pine Shores Golf Course and delivering flowers for Silk's Flower Shop.
Dan was an avid golfer and also bowled for many years at St. Clair River Lanes. His Friday’s were usually spent playing cribbage at the K of C Hall and many other nights the game of favor was euchre. Whether golfing, bowling or playing cards the time he spent with friends was what he enjoyed most. Dan was very proud of his yard on Vine St. When family and friends would drive by or stop in, Dan could be found on his tractor mowing, many times changing mowing patterns with a cold beverage in hand.
He was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair, 35 years member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2251, St. Clair and a former member of the Elk’s Club.
