Daniel Phillip Claerhout's Obituary
Daniel Phillip Claerhout, age 66, of Ocala Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Born and raised in St. Clair Michigan, Dan graduated from St. Clair High School and went on to spend many years as a hardworking man in the construction industry, primarily working as a loader and driver. He had a lifelong passion for dirt bikes, receiving his first bike at the age of 13 and continuing to ride throughout his life alongside family and friends. Dan was a devoted father, a die-hard fan of Michigan sports teams, and someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand. His kindness and compassion left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne; his sons, Patrick and Troy (Hali Driem); his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Roman, and Penelope; his brother, Charles (Andrea); his sister, Melanie; and his first wife, Katherine Murphy, the mother of his children. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws who will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Antoinette Claerhout, and his lifelong friend, William Schneider.
A celebration of life for Dan will take place at a later date.
