Dale Edward Bickley's Obituary
Dale Edward Bickley, age 83, of Columbus Twp., unexpectedly passed away and went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1942 to the late Harry and Sadie Bickley. Dale was a graduate of St. Clair High School, class of 1960, where, in 2019 he was proudly inducted into the St. Clair High School sports Hall of Fame for baseball. He married Donna Smith on April 20, 1963. Donna preceded him in death on October 30, 2020. Dale worked as a tool crib attendant for General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He was a life long farmer, growing up and working on his father’s farm on Fred Moore Hwy. This is where his love of John Deere tractors began. Dale was a lifelong member at St. Matthew’s U.C.C, Adair. Dale assisted in the church dinners. You would often find him preparing the mashed potatoes for the meal. He was also a member of the Richmond Tractor and Thrashing Association. Dale enjoyed assisting in 4-H and being a leader for the boy and girl scouts. He cherished his road trip vacations with his family and friends. From northern Michigan, Tennessee, and New Jersey to Gatlinburg, California, and Disney. Dale had an incredible work ethic, but always made a point to spend time with those he cared about most.
He is survived by his children, Ed (Jody Sweet) Bickley, Marvin (Ann) Bickley, Jenifer (Daniel) Ponder; grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle, Katie, Isabelle, Zachery, Victoria, Jacob, Samuel; great grandchildren, Alysa, Adison, Owen, Sadie, Vivienne, Kaeleigh, Wyatt; brother, Robert (Nancy) Bickley; sister-in-law, Sharon Bickley.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Vern Bickley and Beverly Bickley.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, at St. Matthews U.C.C., Adair. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 4th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. As well as from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.
