Mr. Clyde Sheppard's Obituary
Clyde Sheppard, age 89, of St. Clair, died May 8, 2013. He was born February 26, 1924 in Detroit to the late Ernest and Edith Sheppard.
On March 6, 1943 Clyde married Mary Elizabeth Pellow. She preceded him in death February 21, 1999.
He is a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Navy as a Fireman 2nd Class.
Mr. Sheppard worked for the Ethyl Corporation in Ferndale for nearly 40 years. He is a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and was an avid bowler, golfer, photographer and woodworker.
He is survived by his daughters; Sharon (Dennis) Measel and Donna (Daniel) Mazur, grandchildren; Michelle (Wilbert) Measel-Morris and Erik (Carrie) Measel, great grandchildren; Lucas and Annabelle Measel, brother; Norman Sheppard, several nieces and nephews and a special friend Mary Pingle.
He was preceded in death by brothers; Homer and Lorne Sheppard and sister Lenore Gilger.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted Saturday May 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
