Cindy Louise Saunders' Obituary
Cindy Louise Saunders, age 72, of China Twp., passed away May 15, 2026 following a short illness. She was born December 4, 1953 in St. Clair to the late George and Ceil Saunders.
Cindy was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local #636, where she proudly served as their first female delegate. She was also the first female heating and cooling inspector in Michigan. Cindy also enjoyed buying, rehabbing and flipping homes. Her creativity was ever present as a professional cake decorator and her love of sewing. Cindy looked forward to a spirited game of euchre or poker, where she considered herself an amateur professional. Her games of chance also included playing the slots. Each year Cindy looked forward to spending her winters in Green Valley, Arizona. All her family and friends will remember her deep love of horses too.
Cindy is survived by her children, JoAnn “Joulianna” Kwasnik and Eric Kwasnik; siblings, Marie Saunders, Larry (Terri) Saunders and Steve Saunders and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, George Dennis Saunders and Becky Saunders.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
