Christopher Chopp's Obituary
Christopher Chopp, age 45, of Marine City, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on July 2, 2010. He was born January 14, 1965 in Detroit to James and Terese Chopp.
Chris graduated from Marine City High School and received his Associate Degree from St. Clair County Community College and also attended Delta College.
Chris worked for the Anchor Bay School District for 15 years. He served as a custodian in many schools throughout the district. Chris enjoyed traveling and helping his neighbors in many ways. He was always was sociable and outgoing and above all loved caring for his family.
He is survived by his father Jim Chopp, siblings, Donald (Sybil) Chopp, Patrick Chopp, Connie (Darryl) Hagel, Carrie (Tim) Rhodes, and Thomas Chopp. Nieces and nephews, Jonathan (Lindsay) Chopp, Nicole Chopp, Brittney and Timothy Rhodes, Taylor and Alex Hagel. He was preceded in death by his mother Terese Chopp in 2007.
Funeral services will be Wednesday July 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Young Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Elementary School.
