Christine Osterland's Obituary
Christine Osterland, age 59, of China Township, passed away peacefully at home August 5, 2024. She was born March 20, 1965 in Dearborn, Michigan and was raised in Middleville, Michigan. Chris graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School in Middleville in 1983. On December 4, 1999, Chris married David Osterland in Middleville.
Chris was a hairdresser for many years and was passionate about her work and cared deeply for her clients. She was an enthusiastic volunteer for many community events. Sporting the orange and black colors, Chris was a staple at many of the Marine City Athletic Booster Club events and Mariner sporting events. She was front and center at every softball game her daughters played. Chris also loved family trips to Lake Michigan, displaying her talents as a master crafter, tending to her gardening, and crocheting. She was also very fond of her salsa recipe, that many say was the best!
Chris is survived by her husband of 24 years, David Osterland; daughters, Kennedy Osterland and Avery Osterland; parents, David (Vicki) Perry and Nancy Perry; brother, David (Laurie) Perry; sister, Missy (Greg) LaJoye; in-laws, Duane and Julie Osterland and Dean and Alyce Osterland and many nieces and nephews.
The family deeply appreciates and wishes to thank all the family and friends that assisted Chris and her family in their own special way during her illness.
