Chris Crellin's Obituary
Chris Crellin, age 63, of Columbus Twp. passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on February 5, 2022. He was born on July 5th, 1958, to the late John and Grace Crellin. Chris Married Theresa LaBute on August 27, 1988. He worked at General Motors for 47 years retiring as an emissions technician. In his younger years, Chris played and coached softball and coached on his son’s little league team. His competitive spirit and natural talent were present in everything he did. Whether it was euchre or poker with family and friends, ice hockey on Lake St. Clair, or horseshoes and volleyball at a summer party. He was an avid outdoor sportsman. Chris enjoyed everything nature had to offer, from an accomplished hunter and fisherman to backyard birdwatching. Chris’ solid work ethic included building their family log home in St. Clair County. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father and husband, who cherished the time he spent with his family and partying with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa Crellin; children, Alex and Anna Crellin; sister, Kathleen (Kathy) (Richard (Dick)) Deneweth.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, James (Jim) Crellin, John (Jack) Crellin, Michael (Mike) Crellin, Thomas (Tom) Crellin, Jeffery (Jeff) Crellin; sister-in-law, Jacamina (Jackie) Crellin.
