Catherine Thompson's Obituary
Catherine Thompson, age 105, of Marine City, passed away April 28, 2025. She was born in Marine City to the late Ernest and Frances Stager. Catherine was predeceased in 2007 by her beloved husband, John Thompson;
Catherine was active with the China Township Senior Citizen group and would enjoy weekly visits and activities with the friends she made.
She is survived by her son, Marvin Thompson and grandsons, Bill Thompson and John Thompson Jr.
She is also survived by her sister; Irene Patterson and brother; Richard Stager along with many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was also predeceased by her son, John Thompson and grandson, Randy Jon Thompson and her four sisters; Goldie (Raymond) Kazor, Gertrude (Bernard) Achatz, Helen (James) McCallum, and Norma (Dave) Burby.
The family would also like to give special thanks to Midge Lavely for always bringing a church paper to Catherine and also her cousin Joyce Shovan for always sending a card for special occasions and holidays.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 7th at 12:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be one hour prior to service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City.
