Catherine Anne Colvin's Obituary
Catherine Anne Colvin (McDonnell), age 65, of New Baltimore, formally from Marine City passed away unexpectedly from this life the morning of August 6th, 2017. She was born Catherine Anne Cullen on July 5th, 1952 at Harper Hospital in Detroit. Catherine Anne was the oldest of 9 children.
Catherine received her bachelors of Science and Nursing from Oakland University in 1975. She went on to be a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. In that time she touched the lives of everyone that she served. She was a selfless woman who gave back to many. She was very devoted to her family and friends.
Catherine is survived by her sons; Matthew Michael McDonnell and Sean Patrick McDonnell; Parents William (Joan) Cullen; Siblings Margaret (Scott) Stinnet, Mary (Ralph) Freden, Patricia Strieter, William Cullen, John (Terri) Cullen, Eileen (Scott) Bachler, Patrick Cullen, Peter (Nisi) Cullen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother Abbie Cullen and sister-in-law Amelia Cullen.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 11th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City with an hour visitation prior to the mass. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 10th from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a rosary conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
