Mrs. Catherine Ann Beattie's Obituary
Catherine Ann Beattie, age 87, of Marine City, passed away peacefully in her home December 26, 2014. She was born June 23, 1927 in St. Clair to the late George and Lillian Roberts. On December 19, 1946 Catherine married James Beattie in Toledo. Catherine was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Marine City. She was an avid golfer and played in leagues at Pine Shores Golf Club, St. Clair for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years James D. Beattie, children; Doug (Denise) Beattie, Sandy (Bob) Fritz, Russ Beattie (Barb Watson) and Karen O’Reilly, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister; Mary Rose. She was preceded in death by a sister; Jane Roberts.
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be conducted at Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp.
