Carol McWain's Obituary
Carol Marie McWain, age 78, of St. Clair, died August 14, 2010. She was born November 9, 1931 in St. Clair to the late Walter and Lillian Ahles.
On February 26, 1949 Carol married Donald McWain in St. Clair.
Carol worked for the City of St. Clair as a secretary to the City Manager for 10 years.
She was a member of the St. Clair Fire Department Women's Auxillary where she served as president for one year.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Donald McWain. Children Diane (Dean) DeShon, Mary Jo (Ron) Beckelman, Barb (Jim) Strachen, Jane (Don) Burgett, Sue (Mark) Stier, Jim (Antoinette) McWain. 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Sister; Melba (Hector)
Mudge and brother; Walter (Lee) Ahles, brothers in law and sisters in law; Bill Comment, Marriane Ahles, Olive Ahles, Alice McHugh, and Pat McWain, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Donald J. McWain, brothers; Edward, Peter, and Howard Ahles, sister; Lois Comment, mother in law and father in law; Kenneth and Eva McWain, sister in law; Betty McWain, and brother in law; Kenneth McWain.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery following the service. Visiting hours are Sunday August 15, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00.
