Carol J. Klingensmith's Obituary
Carol J. Klingensmith, age 73, originally of Utica, passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2020. She was born on June 10, 1946 in Highland Park. Carol graduated from Utica High School in 1964. That same year, Carol married the love of her life, Albert Kingensmith, who preceded her in death in 2002. Together, Carol and Albert owned and operated A & K Portable Welding in Hazel Park for 25 years. Carol took great pride in her business, dedicating many hours of hard work. In her free time Carol enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and camping with Albert and her children. Carol’s grandchildren were what she cherished most in life. She truly loved them.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Paul) Newman, Georgette (Joseph) Shonk, Yvonne Lowe (Ralph Szymanski), Matthew (Nicky) Klingensmith; mother, Mona Mann; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Karen Baur, Oren Freel, Monica (Glen) LaMontagne, Mary Rose Zigman, George Milian, Philip Milian, Christopher Mann (James), James (Heather) Mann as well as many other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, George Milian; brothers, Kenneth and Frank Freel.
