Mrs. Carletta Mae Lindow's Obituary
Carletta Mae Lindow, age 92, of China Twp., died November 10, 2014. She was born November 4, 1922 on the family farm in Carsonville the daughter of Leslie and Louise (Schrader) Day.
Carletta married Wallace Lindow February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1996. Carletta was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was a 4-H leader for over 30 years, decorated wedding cakes for many weddings and wrote many local stories as a writer for the Independent Press.
She is survived by her children; Dale (Donna) Lindow, Elaine (Dave) Wagner and Nancy (Thomas) Tenyer, grandchildren; Daniel Lindow, Douglas (Stacey) Lindow, Alissa Wagner (fiancé Mitch), Kara (Sean) Buono, Jennifer (Chris) McDonald, Shawna Tenyer and Michael (Becky) Tenyer, great grandchildren; Delaney and Madelyn McDonald, Davan Buono and one great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Olive Rock and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by sisters; Irene (Arthur) Knepper and Hilda (Earl) Reid and brother-in-law, Jack Rock.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday November 14th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul ‘s Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. Private interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to service.
