Camiel J. "Cass" Kesteloot's Obituary
Camiel J. "Cass" Kesteloot, age 90, passed away September 26, 2021. He was born in Centerline on May 24, 1931 to the late Alphonse and Annie (Vantonne) Kesteloot. Cass proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He married Sarah (Smith) Tiffin on June 11, 1955. She preceded him in death on May 19, 1998.
He and Sarah lived in Roseville for a time before moving to a house on Lake St. Clair in New Baltimore. Cass enjoyed boating and fishing. They later bought land in West Branch and moved up North and never left. Cass loved being in the woods and hunting with his son's. As he grew older he didn't hunt but still loved his time in the outdoors on his swing watching the hummingbirds.
He was preceded in death by his son; David Wayne and step-children; Lois Rodenburger and Ellen Junga.
He is survived by his step-son; Eldon Tiffin, 15 grandkids, 23 great-grandkids, 17 great-great grandkids. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends; Manuel and Peggy and Lew and Ruth.
Military honors will be performed at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10 followed by Celebration of Life service at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.
