Bryon G. Spiekhout's Obituary
Bryon G. Spiekhout, age 68, of Marine City, passed away December 28, 2023. Bryon was born September 17, 1955 in Mt. Clemens.
Bryon was a 1973 graduate of Anchor Bay High School. On July 26, 1980, Bryon married Nancy Wagner and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. The majority of Bryon’s working career was within the automotive industry. Following retirement he worked at Neiman’s Family Market, St. Clair in shipping and receiving.
Bryon was an active member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City, where he served as Church Council President. Bryon also was an avid football fan. He was a diehard Detroit Lions fan and also was a strong supporter of the Marine City Mariners and Michigan State University football teams.
Bryon is survived by his wife, Nancy Spiekhout; daughter, Andrea (Matthew Jackson) Spiekhout and son, Christopher (Ashely) Spiekhout; grandchildren, Noah, Sawyer, Eloise and Walker; siblings, Neal (Lisa) Spiekhout, Calli Spiekhout, Cheryl Hill and Jeff Spiekhout (Joy Clerk); father in law, Jack Wagner, sister in law and brother in law, Judy and Bob Worgess and nephew, Sam Worgess.
He was predeceased by his father, Sidney Spiekhout and mother, Wanda Spiekhout.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting hours are Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at church prior to service.
