Brian John Rzeppa's Obituary
Brian John Rzeppa, 63, of St. Clair, Michigan passed away on July 28th, 2025. He succumbed to a fierce fight with cancer, surrounded by family at home. Brian was born in Port Huron, Michigan, to Marsha Polk (Hill) and Gerald Rzeppa. Brian graduated from Stevenson High School in 1980. He was a proud member of AA.
Brian married Diane (Capobianco) Rzeppa on October 28th, 1995 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Cape Coral, Florida. Brian and Diane met at Chili’s in Fort Myers Florida, and quickly fell in love. They shared dates to Sanibel in his Mustang, and would fish and walk the causeway together. Brian and Diane moved to East China, Michigan, in 1996 where they began their married life. On October 28th, 2025 they will celebrate 30 years together.
Brian started his work life in the restaurant industry, cultivating a love for food and cooking. When he moved back to Michigan, he began work as a carpenter, and various other jobs where he carried out his love for building things. Brian was a jack of all trades. Then in 2003 Brian and Diane started their business together which he helped run behind the scenes for the rest of his life.
Brian and Diane share two kids, Brendan born in 1999 and Madison in 2004. Brian loved the fact they were both born February 24th, 5 years apart.
Much of Brian's free time was spent on the water. Whether that was fishing, boating or enjoying the beach. Brian and his father shared a special trip each year for the trout opener in White Cloud Michigan fishing the same spot on the White River. Brian went on the trip for the first time as a 12 year old in 1974, and never missed a year for his remaining 51 years. That section of river is where you can find him, it held a very special place in his heart. Brian also enjoyed projects around the house, where he left no square inch untouched. Anything he felt needed done he learned the expertise to do and accomplished it in no time. He had a great love for cars and sharing that with his friends, he was meticulous about them. Brian enjoyed hunting, especially on Drummond Island. He had a great love for sports, he enjoyed golfing, baseball, racing and football.
Brian is survived by his wife, Diane Rzeppa; children, Brendan Rzeppa and Madison Rzeppa; mother and step father, Marsha & Robert Polk; sisters, Kathy (Scott) Beattie, Karen Powell and Carol Rzeppa. Brian was also the proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. As well as many beloved family and friends. He was predeceased by his father and step mother Gerald & Ann Rzeppa.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
