Bonnie Lee Schmidt's Obituary
Bonnie Lee Schmidt, age 61, of Columbus Twp., died June 12, 2011. She was born November 5, 1949 in Mt. Clemens. Bonnie graduated from St. Clair Co. Community College as a licensed practical nurse in 1978 and worked as a LPN at Mt. Clemens General Hospital and Medilodge of Richmond.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Schmidt and daughter, Kristina Kowitz both of Columbus, siblings, Ann Marie Lashbrook, Port Huron, Susan (Jack) Fuller and Donna (Dave) Stuben both of Columbus, Pat McGuffin of Clyde, Kathy Burkhardt of Richmond, Debbie (Walt) Woods of Fort Gratiot, Vicky (Harry) Hall of Port Huron, Teri (Bob) McIntyre of Clyde, Nancy (Tom) Friedsburg and Michael McGuffin both of Riley Center, Ron (Michelle) McGuffin of Kimball, Joseph McGuffin of Fort Gratiot, Lee (Marlena) McGuffin of Memphis, sister in law, Dolly McGuffin of Buchannan, brother in law, Mike Babcook of Sarnia. Close family friends Donna and Ernie Gracey of Smith Creek and Sue and Richard Volkening of Fort Gratiot. Grandchildren, Jeremy Kowitz of Fort Gratiot, Sara Howard of Croswell, Matthew, Nicholas and Elizabeth Campagna all of St. Clair. 2 great grandchildren, 35 nieces and nephews, 22 step nieces and nephews, dozens of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents Dale and Virginia McGuffin, daughter, Kimberly Howard, brothers, Jerry, Tom and Don McGuffin and sister, Becky Babcook.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, East China Twp. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Twp. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. www.youngcolonial.com
