Bonnie Sumner's Obituary
Bonnie "B" Sumner, age 74, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024. Bonnie was born to the late Robert and Elizabeth Murray on January 31, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. Bonnie was one of four children and was preceded in death by her sister, Joy Osterland.
Bonnie graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1969 and later established a long and successful banking career. She loved decorating, gardening, and entertaining her friends and family almost as much as she loved the St. Clair River.
Bonnie married Harold Sumner and raised his two children together. After Harold's passing, Bonnie found love and companionship with Terry Duffney, a relationship that brought her much joy and comfort.
She is survived by her partner, Terry Duffney, two stepchildren, Andrea Sumner Kruger and Andrew Sumner, and grandchildren, Sumner Kruger, Madeline Kruger, and Hunter Sumner. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Dan Murray (Fran), sister, Shannon Murray, and brother-in-law, Robert Osterland, along with other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 7 at The Voyageur Restaurant in St. Clair, MI, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
