Bob Rowland's Obituary
Bob Rowland, a.k.a. The Round Man, age 80, of East China Twp., passed away March 12, 2018, following complications from pancreatic cancer. Bob was born February 28, 1938 in Detroit to the late Alison Rowland and Gladys Seeler.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of University of Detroit Mercy. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the St. Clair Golf Club. Bob was also a former member of the St. Clair Lions Club and St. Mary’s Church, where he enjoyed volunteering in community events. He was also a loyal member of the St. Clair McDonald’s Coffee Crew. On November 9, 1984 Bob married Carol Fletcher.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol Rowland; children, Karyn (Mike) Alley, Mac (Lisa) Rowland, Allison (Brian) Veine, Carrie (Don) Fletcher/Wiest, Karen (Tim) Oleaga and Erin Rowland (Jeff Naz); a brother, Scott (Marty) Custer; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Randy Rowland.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 20th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A Memorial Service for Bob will be held later this summer.
