Bob Parcell Jr.'s Obituary
Bob Parcell Jr, 55, of Marine City, passed away September 8th in his home. He was born September 19, 1961 in St. Clair to Bernice and Bob Parcell Sr., the second of three children. A graduate of Marine City High School and GMI (now Kettering), he married his high school sweetheart, Jean Terbush, in 1980 and had three children of his own.
Bob worked for General Motors his entire career starting at Fischer Body in 1979 until his retirement in February 2017. He was seen as an exemplary part of the GM Family, starting in Flint before being sent to Grand Rapids as an associate manufacturing engineer. Thereafter, he was transferred to Mansfield OH, Troy MI, Parma OH, Wentzville MO, Ingersoll Ontario, Bowling Green KY, Lordstown OH, and then to Singapore, where he managed 21 plants on three continents, before retiring from Warren and moving back home to Marine City.
He was a loving, generous man, as well as a proud father and grandfather, a hidden romantic husband, a loyal brother, a devoted son, a class clown, a poet, a mentor, a hero, a decent roller hockey player (as long as he could wear his shoes) and no one who met him could stop themselves from looking up to him.
He is survived by his wife Jean; sons, Joseph (Erin), Brent (Nicole) and Jordan (Sonja); granddaughters Amelia and JoLee; father Robert Sr.; brother Ed (Stacy) and sister Tammy (Mike).
He was predeceased by his mother, Bernice Parcell and niece Cammi Ostwald.
