Blaine was a lifelong resident of Marine City graduating from Marine City High School in 1949. He served as a Sergeant in the Army’s 25th Infantry Division, 35th Regiment, L Company during the Korean War. He returned home and married the love of his life, Lois Biskner in 1954. He worked for the Detroit Edison for 37 years before his retirement in 1991.

Papa’s greatest hits were being Homecoming King, being awarded a full baseball scholarship to Western Michigan, serving his country, bowling a 300 game in 1981, being in the Golden Gloves, setting bowling pins, playing football, coaching little league, men’s softball and his granddaughters’ softball teams. And beating his 16 years old son in a race around the old A&P. Blaine was a generous man who accepted everyone for who they were. His proudest accomplishment was his family.
Blaine’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Marwood Nursing Home for their kind and respectful care they gave him.
