Betty L. Solgot's Obituary
Betty L. Solgot, age 81, of St. Clair passed away peacefully April 3, 2021. She was born May 28, 1939 in St. Clair to the late Clarence and Louise Erdman. Betty married Floyd “Bud” Solgot on August 29, 1955 in St. Clair and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2013. She graduated from St. Clair County Community College where she obtained her LPN degree, then went to work at River District Hospital and retired after many years.
Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, St. Clair. Where she was a volunteer for the Thrift Shop for many years, Betty enjoyed her casino trips, playing bingo and she also loved spending time and cooking holiday meals for her family.
She is survived by her children, David (Marueen) Solgot, Cindy (Norm) Grasley, Patty Schroeder; grandchildren, Heather (Mark) Brewer, Danielle (Pat) Stillwell, Norman (Sarah) Grasley, Katie (Sheila Presley) Grasley, Brandon Morey, Nathan Morey and twins Robert and Raelyn Schroeder; 12 greatgrandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; brother Clarence “Bud” Erdman; sister-in-law, Judy (Ray) Jones, her fur babies along with several nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by a sister in laws, Sharon Erdman and Nancy Miller.
A private family service will be held and interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or Blue Water Humane Society. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
