Bertha C. Frank's Obituary
Bertha C. Frank, age 92, lifelong resident of Cottrellville Twp., died November 3, 2011. She was born December 26, 1918 in Cottrellville Twp to the late Frederick and Mary Johnson.
On May 24, 1947 Bertha married Willis Frank in Marine City. He preceded her in death in 1997. She was a lifetime member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Marine City. Bertha worked at the Detroit Gasket and Pac-a-Lite Products for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning fruits and vegetables and growing and painting pumpkins. She also loved attending parades and taking car rides to the Dairy Queen.
She is survived by her children; Charles (Joyce) Frank, Laura Wood, Richard (Georgia) Frank and Mary Knowlton. 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters; Elizabeth Johnson and Helen Beier, brother; Frederick Johnson and son in law; Dexter Knowlton.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Marine City interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Saturday 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
