Mrs. Bernice Parcell's Obituary
Bernice Parcell, age 78, of Marine City, passed away September 16, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born July 21, 1937 in Royal Oak to Orville and Josephine Ostwald. Bernice graduated from Marine City High School where she was also elected Homecoming Queen. On August 3, 1957 Bernice married Robert Parcell.
Bernice formerly worked at Chris Craft and the East China School District as a librarian and paraprofessional. She was also very active in her community, donating her time and love to such causes as the Jaycees, Methodist Church Food Pantry, Girl Scouts and Old Newsboys.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Carroll Parcell, children; Tammy Parcell (Mike Love), Robert (Jean) Parcell and Ed (Stacy) Parcell, grandchildren; Ashley (Andrew) Bain, Joseph (Erin) Parcell, Brent Parcell (Nicole Devilly) and Jordan (Sonja) Parcell, great grandchildren; Nikolai, Evelynn, Viktor, Vivienne and Amelia, brothers; Ed and Orv (Jan) Ostwald, sister, Maryann (John) Fulliam and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Orville and Josephine Ostwald and a niece, Cammi Ostwald.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 19th at 12:00 noon at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. The family will receive visitors Saturday prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
