Bernice Heath's Obituary
Bernice G. Heath, age 89, of Marine City, died October 31, 2010. She was born October 29, 1921 in Anchorville to the late Leo and Julia VanTiem. On November 6, 1943 Bernice VanTiem married Ervin Heath in Anchorville. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Bernice was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church for 67 years and the Daughters of Isabella for 57 years.
She is survived by her grandsons; Brian (Kathy) VanPeteghem of Marysville and Kevin (Wendi) VanPeteghem of Hartford, great grandchildren; Parker and Payton VanPeteghem, son in law; Robert VanPetghem (companion Donna Brown) of Marine City, sister; Martha Schweiger of Chesterfield, sister in law; Mary VanTiem of New Baltimore and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter; Jean VanPeteghem, brothers; Leslie, Clarence and Roy VanTiem, and sisters; Marie Ringel and Vera DeSnyder.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 5, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City.
Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
at the funeral home and Friday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church prior to mass.
