Bernard "Bernie" Meyers' Obituary
Bernard Edward “Bernie” Meyers, age 71, of Richmond passed away April 9, 2010. He was born March 6, 1939 in St. Clair to the late Herbert and Mable (Distelrath) Meyers.
Bernie will always be remembered as a loving companion, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed auctions of all kinds. Bernie was dedicated to being a grandparent; attending and supporting all the athletic events his grandchildren participated in. He was a member of the Blue Water Woodturning Association, Mooselodge #2575 of Richmond, and the Berville Lions Club; where he volunteered his services to help the organization.
Bernie is survived by his loving companion of 26 years; Connie Jeffries. Children; Brad (Heather) Dittman, Mark (Carol) Meyers, John (Elizabeth) Meyers, Stacey (Greg) Leach, Kerstin (Pete) Schultz, Sarah (John) Foster, Lisa Barnes, Dale Barnes, Linda (Steve) Socia, LeAnn (Ken) Daugherty, Bill (Amy) Jeffries. Grandchildren; Nathan, Elizabeth, and Benjamin Dittman; Amanda, Hannah, and Ryan Meyers; Brandon and Maisie Meyers; Zachary and Rachel Leach; Joseph and Chelsea Gurzick; Chad, Nick, and Chris Gramzow; Joshua, Jalynn, Jensen, and Julia Foster, Kirk, Jennifer, Jonathan, Breann, Scott, Harry, Lauren, Kevin, Larissa, Koen, and Alexis. Siblings; Sister Eileen Meyers, O.P., Marie (Don) Klemmer, Marilyn (Dick) Wyllie, Dorothy (Ray) Burgess, Loretta (Gaius) Fraley, Kenneth (Shirlee) Meyers. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends, and best buddy and sidekick, “Boots”.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 415 North 6th Street, St. Clair at 12pm with Fr. Greg Deters Officiating. Visitation will be from 11-12pm at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the wishes of the family, and the family will divide them up to Bernie’s favorite charities.
