Barbara Jean DuChene's Obituary
Barbara Jean (Distelrath)DuChene, age 72, of Farwell, Michigan, formerly of St. Clair, died May 15, 2010. She was born September 12, 1937 in St. Clair to the late Edwin and Clara Distelrath.
On January 7, 1979 Barbara Jean married Donald DuChene, he preceded her in death April 22, 2004.
Barbara was a member of the Red Hat Society, she enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Elberta, Alabama. Barbara was a crafter and exhibited her crafts in many craft shows.
She is survived by her sister; Judith (Charles) Lashbrook and Betty (Robert) Copenhagen, brother; Larry Distelrath, step daughters; Denise VanScoy and Donna Pettit, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends and companion John DeCriscio.
She was predeceased by a brother Leonard Distelrath and sister Donna Kowalski.
Funeral services will begin Thursday May 20th at 10:15 a.m. at Young Funeral Home and process to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair for an 11:00 a.m. mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair.
Visiting hours are Wednesday May 19th from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
