Barbara J. Barks, age 77, of Marine City, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2010. She was born March 30, 1933 in Marine City, MI to the late Albert and Mildred Smith.
Mrs. Barks is survived by her children; Rita Shomo, Neal Barks, Terri (Jim) Farver, Stan (Soni) Barks, Shawn (Alan) Mitchell, and Bernie (Tim) Johnson. Loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Marie Sayers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband; Master Sergeant Neal S. Barks Sr. (Ret), and 7 siblings.
Visitation on Sunday 2-5 & 7-9pm at Young Funeral Home. Funeral Services 11am on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Stone officiating. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. www.youngcolonial.com
