Anthony "Tony" Willemsen's Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Willemsen, age 80, of St. Clair, Mich., formerly of Sarnia, passed away December 18, 2020. He was born May 27, 1940 to the late Henry and Alberta Willemsen in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada when he was 11 years old.
Tony owned and operated Antony’s Electric in Sarnia for many years and later worked for Miller Electric in St. Clair County. He was the Past President of the Ontario Electric League. Tony loved playing cards and enjoyed woodworking. Tony was also a musician. He loved music and played in his own band for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janet Willemsen; children, Shalena Willemsen and Christian (Natasha) Willemmsen; step children, John (Doris) Huntoon, Alice Briley, Cathleen (Mike) Gilleran and Carey (Tom) Berchulc; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and siblings, Marion (Jim), Harry (Joann), Mary (Doug), Pete (Lou Ann), Frank (Christine), Matthew (Laurie) and Louie (Diane), many nieces and nephews and the Cullaton family.
He was predeceased by siblings, Jerry, Gerdina and Joe.
