Annie L. Wertz's Obituary
Annie Lou Wertz age 100 died Saturday, July 31, 2010.
Annie was born June 24, 1910 in Gordo Alabama,
the daughter of Julius and Louisa Sullivan. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 1937 with a B.S. in Institutional
Management. She did one year internship at Henry Ford Hospital to become a certified dietitian and a member of The American Dietetic Association. Her work career was divided between several years as a dietitian at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, NY and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Ethel Wertz of Madison Heights, MI, two sister-in-laws, Myrle Sullivan
of Alabama and Sarah Sullivan of California, several nieces and nephews and very good neighbors including Ed and Joan Messineo. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Wertz who died September 19, 1985, her step –daughter Jane (the late John) Schaub, her only sister and six of her brothers. Visitation Tuesday in the Young Funeral Home China Twp., from 2-4 PM. Service Wednesday 11 AM in the funeral Home.
