Anne C. Schweihofer's Obituary
Anne C. Schweihofer, age 88, of St. Clair, passed away in her loving husband’s arms on July 16, 2018. Anne was born January 4, 1930 in Center Line, Michigan to the late Christopher and Agnes Weingartz. Anne Weingartz met Benjamin Schweihofer on October 4, 1950 and were married August 11, 1951.
Anne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Anne was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, canning and tending to her flower gardens. She also loved dancing with Ben and playing the organ. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Benjamin Schweihofer; daughters, Marie Neely, Marcia (Matthew) Murphy, Susanne (Robert) McGuire and Sharon (Shawn) Smith; son in law, Stephen Sedrowski; grandchildren, Amanda Long, Shelia McGuire, Sarah Browne, Christine and Kelsey Smith and Benjamin Sedrowski; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Rev. Francis Weingartz, Rita Franckowiak and Vincent Weingartz; along with many brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by infant sons, Mark and Christopher; daughter, Veronica Sedrowski; son in law, Rickie Neely and brothers, Anthony, Leo, Thomas and Clement Weingartz.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday July 20th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Thursday 2 – 9 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. with a rosary recital at 4 p.m. additional visitation Friday 10:30 to 11 a.m. at church prior to mass.
