Ann Marie Whittaker's Obituary
Ann Marie Whittaker, age 76, of St. Clair Twp., passed away at her home following a long battle with multiple health issues on August 1, 2025. Ann was born on November 10, 1948. After graduating from St. Clair High School she married the love of her life, Donald Whittaker on September 9, 1967. They enjoyed 48 years of marriage.
Ann’s career was spent at Silk’s Flower Shop doing what she loved most, designing flower arrangements, until her body no longer allowed it. Ann was considered a social butterfly, always talking and gossiping with everyone. She loved talking for hours on the phone with her sons, family and friends. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ann also loved her time spent at the family cabin or sitting on her deck at home looking at her flower garden.
Ann is survived by her sons, Scott (Nikki) Whittaker and Donald (Jen) Whittaker. Her greatest loves, her grandchildren, Lucas, Whitney, Donnie and Devon. Also surviving is her sister, Penny Malcolm and brother, Jim Freeland and many nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Alberta Freeland; husband, Donald Whittaker, son, Russell Whittaker, sister, Judy and brother, Clifford.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
