Andrew T. Cates' Obituary
Andrew T. Cates, age 71, of St. Clair, died March 30, 2024. He was born May 6, 1952 and was self employed.
He was and avid lover of classic cars, loved working out in his yard, and relaxing at home listening to some good music. He always found time to chat with everyone in town. If you worked at his bank, grocery store, tobacco, or post office you knew Andy. He was truly a kind person and loving soul.
He was preceded in death by Grace McGowan (Mother), and Vergil Jewels Cates (Father), along with his Brothers, Johnny Cates , Jimmy Brooks, and his sister Marie Rawson.
He is survived by his brother William Cates – Billie Cates, Niece Kelly Cates – Ted Pletcha, Nephew Scott Rawson – Nichole Rawson, Jamey Cates – Statia Cates, Pat Cates – Jennifer Cates, nephew Steven Barker – Michelle Barker.
Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
