Andrea McCaffrey's Obituary
Andrea Colleen McCaffrey (Bailey) passed away in her home within the recent days. Known to many as Ann or Drea, she leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and friendship. Andrea was born in Tampa, Florida to Carol Vaughn (Holmes) and Frederick Bailey. She was raised in both Florida and Michigan by parents Carol Vaughn and Charles Turner. Within her wholesome and beautiful family were siblings; Steve Turner, Gail Norton, Cindy Saladino, Nancy Johnson, Cheryl White, Michele Eckert, Debbie Jameson, Scott Turner and Grandparents, referred to as “Nonny and Pops.”
Andrea created a beautiful family of her own with Brian McCaffrey. Andrea’s identity moved from one of Field Hockey Player, Cheerleader, Sister, and Daughter to one of Mother and Wife. Brian and Andrea had a marriage that lasted 36 years and produced four beautiful children; Steven, Stefanie, Kirsten, and Brianna. Additionally Andrea was a grandparent to twelve; Brooklyn, Adriana, Gage, Aaliyah, Jordan, Carter, Reece, Wade, Brenden, Megan, Lily, and Michael. Lastly, Andrea was mom to three fur-feather babies: Pantsy, Pepper, Bailey, and Birdie.
Andrea lived passionately and loved freely. While many call her mom or Grandma Andrea, many call her sister and friend. Andrea loved the sunshine, animals, and had a passion for helping people. Her positivity and vivacity for life was infectious. Andrea loved her family, the beach, swimming, animals, and interior design. Hardworking, passionate, sensitive, and an immense confidant are only a few ways to describe her.
Andrea has touched the lives of many with small acts of kindness or just her authentic smile. While we mourn the loss of her now, we can proceed with confidence that her love and legacy will live on.
