Alice L. Tharrett's Obituary
Alice L. Tharrett, age 83, of Casco, peacefully went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2026. She was born on October 22, 1942 to the late Morton and Mary Peltier. Alice married Robert Tharrett on July 31, 1965. She worked as a school secretary at Palms Elementary from 1962 to 2003. She was an active member at Immaculate Conception Church, Ira. Alice assisted in running Bingo and the Church festival for over 20 years. She was proud to own and be a part of Children’s Farms. Something her family operated for over 60 years. Alice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years Bob; children, Suzie (Alan) Gagliardo, Dave (Nikki) Tharrett, grandchildren, Tom, James, Alan, Amanda and Bradly; great grandchildren, Justin, Bella, Garcia, Lily, Zinnia; son-in-law, Bob DeBusschere; sister, Ann Melburn.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen DeBusschere
A funeral mass will take place on Saturday January 24th at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Ira Twp. Visiting hours will be at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. on Friday, January 23rd from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to mass at church on Saturday.
