Alfred B. Westrick's Obituary
Alfred B. Westrick, age 84, of China Twp., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 11, 2026. He was born on August 27, 1941 in St. Clair to the late Raymond and Mary Westrick.
On June 22, 1963 Alfred married the love of his life, Joyce Beattie. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2021.
Alfred was a hardworker who raised four beautiful children. He enjoyed taking road trips, wood working, garage sales and watching the freighters travel the river. Alfred loved going to the casino, he and Joyce took multiple casino trips. Alfred was a vivid storyteller, always sharing a favorite tale with family and friends.
He is survived by his children; Tammy (Ed) Booms, Kelly (Howard) Vogler, Amy (Tim) Moravec, and Scott (Stacey) Westrick.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Nathan (Meghan) Hudson, Sam Hudson, Allison (Trevor Wedge) Hudson, Ashley (Brandon) Lomerson, Sophie Vogler, Steffen Tallman, Ryan (Brandi) Tallman, Johnathan(Brooklyn Sing) Tallman, Kadence Tallman, Caleb Tallman, Tanner Westrick and Scout Westrick , as well as, seven great-grandchildren; Castiel Tallman, Remi Tallman, Roman Tallman, Rhys Tallman, Maverick Tallman, Tucker Hudson and Theodore Hudson.
Also survived by his brothers; Vern (Margie) Westrick and Jack (Alyce)Westrick, his sister in-laws; Gail Westrick and Mary Louise Westrick, Marilyn Beattie and Linda (Bob) Quirk, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Joyce Cooley and Kathleen Distelrath, his brothers; Raymond, Leo, Edward, Lloyd, Ervin, Alvoy, Kenneth and Marvin Westrick.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Friday, February 20 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
