Alex Stuben's Obituary
Alex Stuben, age 63, of Casco Twp., formerly of St. Clair Shores passed away March 10, 2025 following a short courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 29, 1962 in Detroit.
Alex’s working career started with General Tire from 1979 to 1984 and later at General Motors EDS (Electronic Data Systems) from 1984 to 1987. The majority of his working career, 1988-2015, Alex was a concrete laborer for the Detroit Laborer’s Union, Local 1191. He was very proud of the projects he worked on and enjoyed pointing them out to people whenever possible. When not working, Alex enjoyed fishing and hunting and visiting with family and friends telling stories. He was an auxiliary member of the St. Clair Shores VFW, where he enjoyed the food, drinks and camaraderie of other members.
Alex is survived by his mother, Sueann Moretti; siblings, Mike (Anne) Stuben, Cathy (Dave) Franklin, Dave “D.C.” Stuben and Jane Williams and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Stuben.
A Celebration of LIfe will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the St. Clair Shores VFW Post 1146, 28404 East Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081.
