Albert F. Stiefvater's Obituary
Albert F. Stiefvater passed away Friday December 23, 2016 at the age of 80 years. He was born January 22, 1936 in Detroit to Albert S. and Mary Stiefvater. He is survived by his loving wife, Carole, of 42 years.
He is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Kay Steinmetz, Sandra Sommerfield and Paula Stiefvater. Both his brothers in laws and brother, Terrence predeceased him. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Al worked for Chrysler for 31 years as a toolmaker. In that position he worked on the most detailed pieces. Al loved working with his hands. He built furniture, cars and boats. All of his models were built from pictures. He spent a great deal of time on details. He had three boats on Lake St. Clair that he enjoyed very much. Al also had a great deal of knowledge of professional sports. He was not a reader except for the Bible. He loved to talk to people about the history in the Old Testament and the fulfillment of prophecy in the New Testament. His favorite book was James.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday March 25th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Hour Ministries, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
