Albert E. Harbour's Obituary
Albert E. Harbour, age 87, of St. Clair, Mich, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2016. Born to Albert G. and Lillian Harbour on November 6, 1928 in Detroit; he met Karlene Jeffery in 1951 while serving in the U.S. Army at Ft. Riley, Kansas. They were married September 5, 1953.
Albert was a clay sculptor for GM and his artistry produced paintings, carvings and other cherished pieces. Albert was active in amateur radio and a member of the Eagle’s and Prop Busters model airplane clubs. Above all he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Albert is survived by his wife Karlene, son Jeffrey (Karen), daughter Karal, grandchildren Kait, Ryan, Pat and Erin and great granddaughter Charlee. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Lillian, Aunt Helen McGowan and son Kevin.
Funeral mass will be Monday 9th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair, Mich. Visiting hours are Saturday May 7th from 2 to 8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10 to 11 at church. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Al’s name. www.youngcolonial.com
