Albert Bachand's Obituary
Albert J. Bachand Jr. age 75, of St. Clair Twp., died August 3, 2010.
He was born May 11, 1935 in Yale to the late Albert Sr. and Hazel Bachand.
Albert married Marleen Acre on October 7, 1994 in Port Huron.
He joined the Naval Reserves in 1953. Albert was in the grocery retail business for over 40 years retiring from Farmer Jack in May of 1997. He was co-founder of Pine River Sportsman Club and served as their president for over 35 years. He was a life member of Richmond Sportsman club and member of the ATA Trap Shooters Assoc.
Albert also served as the St. Clair Township Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife; Marleen Bachand, step daughter; Becky (Tony) Harriman, daughters; Beth, Barb, and Debbie, brother; Lee "Dwayne" Bachand, sisters; Maxine Connelly, Beatrice McLeod, Patricia (Ralph) Johnson, and Sally (Richard) Parker. Several grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister; Doris McClain.
Services will be held Saturday August 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, Rev. Doug MaGinn will officiate, interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
Serving as pallbearers are Scot Acre, George Peters, Bill Furtaw, Joe Delor, Gary Emerich, and Mike Klug.
Visiting hours are Thursday 6-9 p.m. and Friday 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
