Adma Hindy's Obituary
Adma Hindy, age 85, of Algonac, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 28, 2023. She was born July 15, 1937 in Lebanon to the late Touma and Tefaha Abdo. Adma married Emil Hindy on August 7, 1955 and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2017.
Adma immigrated from Lebanon after her marrying her husband and became a naturalized citizen on January 8, 1963. She took enjoyment in cooking, taking care of her family and doing the simple things, such as staying busy around the house, cutting grass shoveling snow and gardening. She loved to go on walks and most of all was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Loreen Walter, Elias (Kristen) Hindy, David (Judy) Hindy M.D.; grandchildren, Christina (Keith) Recker, Brett Walter, Elijah (Emily) Hindy, Josiah (Ashley) Hindy, Rebekah (David) Passauer, Elizabeth (Aaron) Graf, Caleb (Jessica) Hindy, Jonathon Hindy, Sarah Hindy, Nathan Hindy, Joseph Hindy, Thomas Hindy, Joshua Hindy; 10 great grandchildren; sister Widad Gebran along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Adma is preceded in death by her sister Josephine Abdo.
A funeral ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 7, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be Thursday July 6, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., along with visiting at church one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place Saturday at Resurrection Cemetery; Clinton Twp. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
