Aaron B. Lipke's Obituary
Aaron B. Lipke, age 70, of East China, passed away December 15, 2021 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 20, 1951 in St. Clair to the late Bernard and Myrtice Lipke. He married Karrie Emig on July 17, 1971.
Aaron worked for the City of Marysville Water Department for many years and retired in 2002. Upon retirement he and Karrie moved to Sun City West, Arizona and enjoyed 16 years of retired life there. They moved back to East China in 2020 to be close to their kids and grandkids.
He loved golf and was a huge University of Michigan football fan. Aaron was looking forward to seeing his granddaughter graduate from U of M in the spring. He enjoyed camping, fishing and carpentry with remodeling projects being his specialty.
He referred to his grandchildren as his “Honeybunnies” and loved giving them golf cart rides when they visited in Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Karrie Lipke, his daughters; Karla (Michael) Pearl and Kimberly (Richard, Jr.) DeShon. He is also survived by his granddaughters; Alyssa, Kylie, Ella, Ava, and Kinslea, and step-grandchildren; Alexander and Natalie, his brother; Eric (Patti) Lipke and sisters; Karen (Jack) Johnson and Gail (Larry) Huffman, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
