My sincere and heart felt condolences to Joe's Family including George. Joe and George are the last of my Father's (George Stafford) first cousins. I have so many fond memories of the Irvin Family which include when Aunt Marie & Uncle Charles would baby sit me when I was small and Joe was still at home. When Uncle Charles and both boys baled hay for us and always marveling the muscle tone and strength of Joe. I remember the first car he built from scratch, I think using parts from a '34 Chevy which was fashioned into a rear engine car without a body. I was so impressed. I am very sorry I have not kept in touch with the family over the years but will carry my pleasant memories forever. May the Good Lord Bless the entire Family and may your sorrow soon be replaced by great memories of a Great Man.

To: George Irvin, So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. This is from Phyllis (Knight)McDonald. Hope you remember all of the fun times we had when we were young. Your folks and mine at Mt. Pleasant Church and the many friends they had. I lost Marvin about 4 years ago and it was a sad time for me because we were so close. I also lost my husband 14 yrs. ago, but we have lots of good memories to hold on to and at least we know where they are. Please give my condolences and prayers to Joe's Family. I'm living in a retirement Village here in Muncie (Westminster Village). Hope this finds you well, I think of all the people we knew when we were growing up that have passed on to be with our Heavenly Father, what a reunion that will be when we all get to heaven. Mr. Irvin was a great teacher. I was fortunate enough to be in his high school woodworking class and then architectural drafting. He was a tough teacher but fair and extremely intelligent. He taught me many things, including an appreciation of nature and of different woods that I carry with me to this day
