Steve Shaw's Obituary
Steve Shaw, age 72, of St. Clair passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026 surrounded by family.
He was born on January 22, 1954 in St. Clair to the late Clinton and Wilma Shaw. Steve was a lifetime resident of St. Clair. Steve graduated from St. Clair High School in 1972 and went on to a long and fulfilling career as a journeyman machinist and supervisor in the machine tool industry, where he worked for 42 years. His career was marked by dedication, skill, and a strong work ethic.
After retirement, Steve found joy in the simple things—walking, tinkering around the house, relaxing on the back porch during the summer months, and enjoying the winter months in Florida, a time he greatly cherished.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Shaw; his children, Steve (Tracy) Shaw, Scott (Tanya) Shaw, Ann (Gary) Eisen, Ken (Hannah) Shaw; and his stepson, Ron Johnson. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren; Steven, Sadie, Aleksei, Tessa, Tatum and Teagan.
He is also survived by his sister, Valerie (Bernard) Schweihofer, and brother, John Shaw; brothers-in-law Jerry (Jan) Fraley and Paul (Stacy) Zimmer; and sisters-in-law Vicki Fye, Kay Malcolm, Linda Zimmer and Liz Zimmer; along with several nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Wilma Shaw; stepson, Rob Johnson; sisters, Brenda Shaw and Marion Fraley; brother Jeff Shaw; brothers-in-law, Ron and Bill Zimmer, Tim Fye and Dean Malcolm.
Honoring Steve’s wishes no services will be held.
Steve will be remembered for his dedication to his work, devotion to his family and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
