Ronald James Rhoades

October 28, 1946 - February 26, 2022

Ronald James Rhoades, age 75, of Marine City, passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2022. He was born October 28, 1946 in St. Clair to the late Harold and Helen Rhoades. On July 15, 1967 Ron married Ruth Sharrow and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Ron retired from Ford Motor Company following 30 years of employment. Once retired, Ron found more time to enjoy trap shooting and hunting. His love of the outdoors was evident with his memberships with the Pine River Sportsman Club and the Perch Point Conservation Club. He was also a member of the Lake George Boosters Club. Ron is survived by his wife, Ruth Rhoades; sons, Ronald H. Rhoades, Donald W. Rhoades and Jonathan (Lori) Rhoades; grandchildren, Brieanna Rhoades, Jay (Mickala) Rhoades, Tanner Rhoades, Hayden Rhoades and Jacob Denny; great granddaughter, Ellena Rhoades; brother, Robert (JoAnn) Rhoades; sister, Rebecca (Dennis) Butzin and many beloved nieces and nephews. Ron is predeceased by his brother, Randall Rhoades. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
