Robert Francis Boose

April 4, 1937 - March 26, 2022

Robert Francis Boose, 84, passed away on March 26, 2022 at Lakeshore Woods Assisted Living in the company of his family in Fort Gratiot, Michigan. He was born April 4, 1937 in Philadelphia to Gordon and Lucy Boose. Bob attended Lowell Elementary and went on to graduate from North Catholic High School. Bob attended many grammar and high school reunions. Bob graduated from Villanova University with a Mechanical Engineering degree and went on to teach at Temple University. Bob was accepted into the Chrysler Institute of Engineering Training Program and moved his family to the Dearborn area in 1969. While working as an Engineer at Chrysler, Bob received a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from UofM Dearborn. After nine years at Chrysler, Bob went to work at Ford Motor Company, where he stayed for the next 27 years. Bob was always learning. He earned his MBA from University of Detroit Mercy in 1998 and a third Masters in 2015 from Wayne State University in Industrial Engineering. Bob also taught math classes at University of Michigan Dearborn, and went on to teach classes at University of Detroit Mercy. Bob was an avid tennis player. He made many friends and played many matches at the Dearborn Indoor Racquet Club and the clay courts at the now closed Dearborn YMCA. Bob also enjoyed being a Graduate Assistant for Dale Carnegie by helping teach courses for many years. After retiring from Ford, Bob enjoyed going to the movies, visiting bookstores, and traveling back to Philadelphia for school reunions. Bob leaves behind two daughters in Michigan, Lisa (Steve) Bondy of St. Clair and Linda Bloomfield of Farmington Hills; four grandchildren, Alex Bondy of Philadelphia, Amanda (Michael) Denny, Benjamin Bondy, and Michael Scott Bloomfield. Additionally, Bob leaves behind three sisters: Lucy Bangham (Easthampton, MA), Delores Friel (Washington), and Karyn Spreeman (Hendersonville, NC). Bob was proceeded in death by his mother Lucy (Boland) Boose, father Gordon David Boose, Brother Gordon “Bud” Boose, two sisters: Gail Clark and Candy Stein. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
