Marion Mimi Murphy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marion “Mimi” Murphy, age 86, of St. Clair, passed away March 3, 2021. She was born February 10, 1935 in Detroit to the late Omer and Irene Heil. Marion was an avid golfer and lifetime member of the St. Clair Golf Club. She was also a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years. Marion enjoyed life to the fullest with her family and friends and she cherished her life as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Douglas Murphy; children, Linda Emig, David (Jo) Murphy, Mark Murphy, Julie (Jim) Gamber and Liz (Rick) Schweihofer; grandchildren, Heather, Lauren, Jerry, Amy, Jenny, Daniel, Amberly, Allison, Jade, Jenna, Kent, Emma, Emily, John, Nicole, Trevor and Graham; 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Arlene Griffin and brother, Rev. Tom (Margie) Heil. Thank you for the overwhelming outpouring of Love and Prayers for Mimi Murphy. Public funeral services have been thoughtfully re-considered and will be postponed to a later date during the summer of 2021.
