Julie K. Carsley

August 28, 1962 - February 4, 2022

Julie K. Carsley, 59 years old, of Saint Clair was set free on February 4th, 2022 due to complications of Covid pneumonia. She was born August 28, 1962, in Detroit to the late Patricia Belle Sheppard and Gerald Sheppard. On March 31st,1979 she married David Carsley, her soul mate, the love of her life. Julie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She absolutely loved her family and the quality time they shared. In her spare time, Julie enjoyed crafting, scrapbooking, beach days, and fall activities such as legendary Halloween parties and “borrowing” beautifully colored leaves from all around town for her grandchildren to play in. Halloween was Julie’s favorite time of year. She always went out of her way to ensure the season was enjoyed by all. Julie always served the community, she worked with children throughout her entire life. She served as a member of the Saint Clair Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, then became a bus driver for the East China school district. She was well known and adored as “the neighborhood mom”. She is survived by loving husband of 42 years David Carsley, her daughter and son Krystina (Steve), and David. Grandchildren Julie (Bradley) and Jack, brothers and sisters Patrick (Barbara), Tom (Linda), Gerald (Debra), Linda (Joe), Carol (Dave) She is preceded by mother Patricia Belle, father Gerald Sheppard, mother and father-in-law Shirley and Pete, brother John, and her granddaughter Olivia. Julie’s family will be conducting a celebration of life that will be held Friday February 11th, from 2-7pm with a service to follow from 7-8pm. The family would like to have masks optional, but encouraged. The family will be gathering afterwards at The Murphy Inn to share stories and continue celebrating Julie’s life. All are welcome to join.
