Gail Ann Garza

March 19, 1952 - September 18, 2020

Gail Ann Garza, age 68, of Marine City pass away Friday September 18, 2020 at home surrounded by family. Family was Gail’s biggest passion in life. She was born March 19th, 1952 to her late parents Insell and Virginia Harris. Gail married Daniel Garza on March 19th, 1997 in Las Vegas, NV. Gail has lived and worked in the St. Clair area her whole life. Gail was a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated Grandma (Bomma). Gail was an amazingly gifted women with a huge amount of talent and work ethic, there wasn’t anything this woman couldn’t do. Gail owned and operated Stitch-n-Stuff Embroidery. She had an eye for design and with her husband Danny they remodeled every house they lived in, even had a write up in “This Old House” a couple years back. Gail was an avid horse person loving her horse Tater, being 4-H leader of Ride-About, and decorating right down to the Christmas tree in all things horse. With her love of horses came the love of her Ford Trucks. When not renovating/ creating Gail ran multiple Pool Leagues, loved traveling the county and camping with her family. In her younger years she did many pencil drawings, sewed all her kids and grandkids costumes, dabbled in many arts and crafts, and she loved to decorate for the holidays, the more real the better. Gail is survived by her husband Daniel Garza, three children; Virginia (Adam) Thomson, Lawrence (Jennifer) VanTiem, and Sherie (Dennis) Dunn. Her grandchildren MaKailey, Landyn, Kadence, Noah, Coy, Dennis, and Dean; siblings, Dennis (Toni) Harris, Loretta Gorr, Bill (Bonnie) Harris, Jenny Delor and Chris (Jim) OConnor; sister in law, Sharon Smelser, Linda Buscemi, Gail Rzadko, Lisa Rintz; brother in law, Gary, Joey and Jerry Garza, along with several nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her parents Insell and Virginia Harris, sister Janet Knowlton and Janet’s daughter Debra Knowlton, and brother-in-law Dennis Delor. Cremation arrangements with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be 9:00 - 11:00 am Saturday September 26th, 2020 with service at 11:00 am, following Gail’s remains will then be laid to rest next to her sister and near her parents at Hillside Cemetery in St. Clair.
